Help for
Generalized ANXIETY
If you’re searching for a specialist near you, who understands how anxiety can take over your life, you’ve come to the right place.
As a licensed therapist with specialized training in cognitive behavior therapy, I’m here to help you break free from the cycle of anxiety and get back to living your life.

What is Generalized Anxiety Disorder?
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) involves excessive worry about a variety of life areas and difficulty with uncertainty. You may try to control uncertain situations with hypervigilance, over planning, and rumination. But all the things you are doing to try to "fix" the situation only make you feel more stressed and overwhelmed.
But you don't have to stay in survival mode! Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help you break out of the pattern of worry and get you back to your life.
How can I tell if my worry is EXCESSIVE?
Out of Proportion
Your worry is beyond what we would expect in the situation. You worry about things that haven't happened yet and imagine worst case scenarios. Waiting to see what will happen feels impossible.
Physical Symptoms
We think of anxiety of something that affects our minds but it has a impact on our bodies too. Stomach discomfort, chest pains, nausea and queasiness are all common anxiety symptoms.
Difficult to Control
You realize your worry is making your problems harder to deal with but still can't stop. Maybe you have difficulty sleeping or can't concentrate due to the constant worry.
Chronic Indecisiveness
The more you think about your problems the more confused and overwhelmed you feel. You doubt yourself and second guess your choices, alwasy thinking about what you could have done differently.
What to expect with CBT for Generalized Anxiety
In CBT for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), sessions focus on helping you understand and change the patterns of worry that feel constant or uncontrollable. We’ll start by identifying your specific worry themes and how they affect your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You’ll learn practical strategies to challenge anxious thinking, tolerate uncertainty, and reduce the urge to over-plan, overthink, or seek reassurance. Treatment is personalized and collaborative—whether you're in San Jose or meeting online from elsewhere in California—so we can focus on tools that work best for your needs and goals.
